The vampire facelift rules! Treatments that will save your skin from premature aging

The more aesthetic medicine offices in Poland, the more modern treatments are at your fingertips. Taking care of your beauty, it is worth considering visiting offices. We do not necessarily have to consider invasive treatments right away: sometimes those that do not have a big impact on our body are enough, but only slightly improve our appearance and well-being. What treatments are offered by doctors to people who are just starting their adventure with aesthetic medicine? What is it about syringes and ampoules in an aesthetic medicine office?

Platelet-rich plasma. The blood that brings youth

Platelet-rich plasma (also known as PRP or “vampire lifting”) is one of the most interesting treatments that have been offered to patients in recent years. It has nothing to do with the surgical facelift – it is non-invasive, does not require convalescence, and is famous for its firming properties. It acts as a powerful rejuvenation tool. All thanks to the power of our own platelet-rich plasma, which – in combination with the activating ingredient 0 – has a revitalizing effect and helps to remodel the skin cells so that it becomes firmer and looks much younger. It’s a simple procedure. It gives patients comfort because (as many aesthetic medicine doctors believe) it is completely natural. That is why it is a dream procedure for allergy sufferers – there are no artificial substances in Regeneris (the most popular treatment of this type). The skin is injected with our own platelet-rich plasma, enriched with minerals.

What is the “vampire facelift” procedure

Many doubts arise when the patient hears the name “lifting”. There is nothing to worry about: the treatment is not bloody, it is quick and in most cases it will not leave any ugly marks on our skin. The only risk is broken capillaries and bruising in people with extremely sensitive skin, but it is a symptom that will disappear after a few days.

Step 1: medical history. Before performing a vampire facelift, the doctor will want to know what our health is, what medications we are taking and whether we are chronically ill with any disease. The treatment is inadvisable if we have bad blood results (e.g. too low clotting) or if we have cancer. It is also inadvisable to use it with active skin lesions at the treatment site.

Step 2. After the procedure has been successfully completed, the aesthetic medicine doctor will prepare us for the procedure and I smear my face with an anesthetic cream. Emla cream is the most frequently chosen one because it is effective and tolerated by most patients. After applying the cream to the face, the doctor will apply a foil mask that will prevent the cream from running off and intensify its effect

Step 3 . Now it’s time to draw blood. In most aesthetic medicine offices, blood collection will be performed by a certified nurse who helps the doctor perform the procedure. Blood is not drawn much – it is enough to fill one syringe with it to obtain enough platelet-rich plasma.

Step 4. After collecting the blood, the nurse gives the syringe with blood to the doctor who will centrifuge our plasma in a special medical centrifuge. Centrifugation takes about as long as anesthesia.

Step 5. When centrifugation is over, the doctor will obtain pure platelet-rich plasma which he will combine with the active substance (a reagent that activates the beneficial effects of plasma). Thanks to this procedure, he obtains a ready product that he will use to perform the procedure

Step 6. At this point, we have the finished product and we are already anesthetized. Time for the procedure – its performance depends on our needs. The doctor will wash off the anesthetic cream from our face, then rub it with a disinfectant and start injecting the skin with the agent obtained in the centrifugation process. Many doctors use a simple syringe for this purpose and inject the preparation intradermally in order to spread it over the entire surface of the skin. Some also use the so-called Dermapen, which is designed to inject the substance into the lower levels of the skin. The preparation can be used on the face, neck, cleavage and hands. The injection procedure does not take long – in the case of the face itself, it is about 20 minutes. It is also not painful due to the earlier use of anesthetics.

Step 7. When the procedure is complete, many doctors rub the remainder of the obtained preparation into the skin, thanks to which it absorbs even more active ingredients. Thanks to this approach, the result is even better and the skin heals faster.

Step 8. After completing the procedure, it’s time for your steps. Follow the doctor’s recommendations: buy ointments that will allow the epidermis to regenerate quickly, do not expose your face to sunlight and use high filters. You will see: your skin will be grateful to you for this.
